After less than two months on the market, actress and comedian Kristen Wiig has sold her midcentury modern residence in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles for $5.225 million, listing records show.

The "Saturday Night Live" alumna made a tidy profit on the place, parting with it for $100,000 more than it was asking when it hit the market on Oct. 19, and making several million on the original price she paid.

Ms. Wiig, 45, bought the home in 2014 for $1.7 million through a private trust, with her mother, Laurie Colombo, as trustee, records show.

Mansion Global could not determine who purchased the home from Ms. Wiig. It sold earlier this month.

During her ownership, the "Bridesmaids" star completely renovated the 3,515-square-foot home, creating a "spectacular collaboration of refined innovative midcentury design, combined with elegant 21st century state-of-the-art technology and artistry," according to the listing with Bryony Atkinson of Maisonre. Ms. Atkinson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The floor plan of the original house was preserved with formal living and dining rooms, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, an office, a den and a new screening room. But a separate multi-purpose living space was added, housing a guest property, studio and sauna, the listing said.

In December 2017, Ms. Wiig snapped up another historic midcentury home in nearby Pasadena, California, for $2.96 million, property records show.

A representative for Ms. Wiig did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
